About The Summit

A Transformative Regional Convening

Asian Climate & Environment Summit 2025, set against the vibrant and diverse natural landscapes of Sri Lanka, is a transformative regional convening of youth leaders, climate advocates, academics, policymakers, and innovators from across Asia. Taking place from 5-9 December, 2025, this five-day summit will blend immersive field visits, academic exchange, collaborative workshops, and scenic train journeys to foster deep dialogue on climate resilience, environmental justice, and sustainable development.

Background & Rationale

South Asia stands at the frontline of the climate crisis. From rising sea levels and extreme heat to deforestation and pollution, the region faces interconnected environmental challenges. Yet, it also boasts the most powerful untapped resource: its youth. This summit aims to convene youth leaders and stakeholders from across Asia to forge regional solutions and strengthen leadership for a sustainable future.

Who Should Attend?

Young climate activists, community leaders, university students (18-35), government and development agency representatives, climate innovators, researchers, environmental NGOs, and media storytellers.

Summit Format

A multi-city mobile summit across Sri Lanka via train and bus, featuring academic visits, NGO project exposure, workshops, panel discussions, cultural exchange, and a final Climate Conference Day.

Summit Objectives

Our core mission is to empower the next generation of climate leaders in Asia. We aim to create a platform for meaningful action and lasting collaboration.

  • To empower youth as agents of environmental transformation through dialogue, training, and exposure.
  • To share regional best practices in climate adaptation, environmental justice, and green innovation.
  • To build cross-border collaborative climate projects among South Asian countries.
  • To strengthen community-based, eco-tourism and low-carbon learning through experiential travel.
  • To publish a South Asian Youth Declaration on Climate & Environment.
